The gears shift with ease and the braking is as on point as the pleasure of the ride. Just what I have been searching for.CGThomashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02366618870120477560noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7829395277888506402.post-68291746131591326172010-09-07T10:16:11.005-04:002010-09-07T10:16:11.005-04:00Thanks for the feedback! If you want something like this, but must have steel, then what you want is a Surly Karate Monkey, set up with a short-travel suspension fork. Or a Raleigh XXIX+G with slick tires. Or an Origin8 Scout 29er frame built up with a short-travel suspension fork. We can get any of these for you!Kevinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16863697471242987940noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7829395277888506402.post-44579637130902770362010-06-02T18:17:02.860-04:002010-06-02T18:17:02.860-04:00This is like my old hardtail with slicks on it, ex...This is like my old hardtail with slicks on it, except with 700c's it's probably faster. I can pop off curbs with no cares, take a detour on a fire trail on my commute, and do a 50 mile charity ride.
Because it is a 2 in travel fork, it is probably lighter than an 80mm/100mm and less mushy.
This would be the perfect bike for me if it were just steel.Stanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06445273451305989044noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7829395277888506402.post-7616008509426224032010-02-16T22:16:28.266-05:002010-02-16T22:16:28.266-05:00Couldn't have said it better myself!
