"Ocean, Surf by Bike" - a short film by Blackburn Design

Inspired by the 71% of the planet covered by water, Blackburn Design has created WATER CYCLE, an ongoing documentary film project.

In the second chapter, OCEAN, SURF BY BIKE, we follow Ashley Llyod Thompson, a surf shaper from Santa Cruz, California. Ashley took time away from her shaping studio to travel with her husband and son to Mexico in search of quiet surf breaks. Many of the best breaks are tough to access and aren’t on any map. Fat bikes made the most sense to enjoy these secret places. Along the way, she found some beautiful quiet moments with the ocean and with her family. These are the simple joys that life on a bike can bring.

Video: Towpath Trail Stage 3 Construction

The Towpath Tail took a big step forward on Friday, August 17, 2018 as Mark Haynes Construction craned in a 40-ton, prefabricated steel truss bridge that connects Stage 3 of the Towpath Trail Extension running 1.9 miles from the Northern entrance of Steelyard Commons to Literary Ave in Tremont. On Saturday, a cantilevered observation deck was installed that when complete, will give trail users a sweeping view of the valley's industrial corridor.

Stage 3 provides an important link between Cleveland's populous Tremont neighborhood, the employment and retail center Steelyard Commons and the public outdoor recreation area Clark Fields.
