New Short Film from Salsa Cycles: Chasing The Sun

Racing The Sun is the latest short film (about 15 minutes) from Salsa Cycles. It follows the riding and thoughts of Tim Ek, a Salsa-sponsored amateur rider from Duluth, Minnesota as he struggles to complete another Dirty Kanza 200 race.

The Dirty Kanza 200 is a 200-mile race that begins and ends in Emporia, Kansas and follows mostly gravel roads through the Flint Hills region of central Kansas. Tim rides on his Salsa Warbird Ti, a gravel-specific road bike.

Tim's thoughts as he rides and looks forward to the race are an inspirational parable about setting goals, and sometimes meeting them (or not), in both cycling and life. Even if you're not into riding 200 miles in one day, it can help, whether your goal is the Bike MS Pedal to the Point, your first 100-mile ride, or even your first 10-mile ride, or reconnecting with a forgotten family member.
