60 bicyclists brave a windy ABCDEFGHIJ

Kudos to the 60 folks who braved the wind, rain and 39-degree temperatures to bike the Medina County Bike Club's annual New Year's Day ride yesterday, A Bi-Cycling Dandy Excuse For Getting Hibernated In January!

We tip our bike helmet to organizers (including Dick DeLombard, who shared this photo with us) and to CCers who rode, including Chris Walters (in shorts!), Justin Stark, Don Barnett, and Mike Petcher from our Medina store.

The ABCDEFGHIJ Ride has been held for 36 years and Dick posted a pretty interesting chart on Facebook showing that, over the years, participants have ranged from 2 to 243 bicyclists, and the temperatures have ranged from 10 to 59 degrees.

Dick also wants us to remind you of some other upcoming rides, including the KLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ Ride on the Sunday before TOSRV on May 6, and, if you want a challenge, you can join him on Calvin's Challenge in SW Ohio on May 5 -- he'll be on his high wheel!
