Kudos to the city of Westlake, which is interested in creating a more bicycle-friendly community and expanding its bikeways. Last night, we attended a public meeting to hear more about this effort and to listen to residents and bicyclists discuss their needs and concerns. This is an exciting process that we will continue to update you on in the weeks and months ahead. In the meantime, the city of Westlake has posted an online survey to gather more input. You do NOT have to be a resident of Westlake to complete the survey (which takes just a few minutes). If you live in one of the adjacent communities, bike through Westlake, or are just concerned about West Shore bicycling, please provide Westlake city planners with your feedback! Go to:
