Regarding the Turnpike toll issue: As I read it, they hope to fix the height sensors at some point, but in the meantime, it sounds like the way to avoid paying the higher fare is to complain to the toll booth attendant. If the attendant will not give you the correct lower fare, ask for their supervisor.
