Work continues on erosion repair that was originally scheduled to be completed by the end of January 2017. The trail is closed between Boston Mills Road and Highland Road between 7:00am and 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. This work is expected to completed March 30, 2017. There may be a continuous 2-week closure, to be announced at a later date. There is no off-road detour available.
The section of Towpath Trail between Hillside Road and Stone Road in the village of Valley View will have intermittent closures for riverbank stabilization work being done by the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District; no off-road detour is provided:
- From March 6, 2017 through May 26, 2017, this section of the trail is closed continuously.
- From May 27, 2017 through July 31, 2017, this section of the trail will be open on weekends and holidays (May 29, July 3, July 4) and closed otherwise.
- From August 1, this section of trail will be again closed continuously, with a re-opening date to be determined.
Please plan your bike trips on the Towpath Trail around these closures accordingly.
