Young Adult Bike Travel Scholarship - Adventure Cycling Asssociation

Explore the world by bicycle. Discover the adventure that awaits you. Inspire others. Whether you are new to bicycle travel or looking to build your outdoor leadership skills, this program from the Adventure Cycling Association is here to help get you in the saddle and out on the road by providing classes and resources to young adults ages 18 to 30.

Each of their two scholarship tracks are designed to support riders of varying levels of experience and cover the cost of attending one of their education courses. In addition to providing transportation, accommodation, and course fees, Adventure Cycling will also hook you up with the right gear to plan your next adventure. Upon completion of the education courses, scholarship recipients will take what they’ve learned and apply it to an outreach activity to promote bicycle travel in their communities.

Intro to Bike Travel

Do you have dreams of going on a self-supported bicycle tour but aren't quite ready to hit the road? This award is for riders interested in attending one of the ACA's Intro to Road Touring courses. In addition to the course, one scholarship recipient will be outfitted with a new touring bicycle equipped with panniers and other touring gear.  Apply for the Intro to Road Touring Scholarship

Outdoor Leadership

Already have bike travel experience and want to get more involved in outdoor leadership? This award is for riders interested in developing their tour-planning and leadership skills by attending the ACA's Leadership Training Course. In addition to the course, one recipient will also receive a $100 Cyclosource gift certificate and have the opportunity to take an additional self-contained tour of their choice.
