Bicycle Advocacy Weekend; Sunday Edition

Continuing on the heels of yesterday's dual call to action for bike advocates, we've got another local issue and non-local issue to lend your voice to.

The proposed protected bike lane on Lorain Avenue in Ohio City on Cleveland's west side will be further discussed at the Lorain Avenue Streetscape Meeting #2:

Finally, making the rounds in the bike blogosphere over the past few days is a letter from Thomas Barraga, a legislator in Suffolk County, New York. Mr. Barraga received a letter from 17-year-old Matthew Cutrone asking for safer streets for bicycling. In his response, Mr. Barraga said, among other things:
"No one who lives in our hamlet or for that matter in Suffolk County should ever ride a bicycle."
