US Senate Update

Two days ago, we issued a call to action forwarded from the Rail-toTrails Conservancy to contact your US Senators to vote against amendments to a transportation bill that would have threatened funding for local bicycle and pedestrian projects. We are happy to report that the amendments were defeated by a Senate vote of 59-39, including two NAY votes by our own Senator Sherrod Brown and Senator George Voinovich of Ohio.
